Timely Communication

We would like to take this opportunity to remind clients that per the engagement terms signed, it is a requirement for clients to communicate and provide documents to us in a timely manner.
It is disappointing to see that despite numerous reminders, telephone calls, sms, emails and postal, a number of clients have not returned our calls or replied to our communications. This places an added administrative burden on staff which restricts them from spending valuable time helping clients.

Overdue returns

As tax agents, as long as we maintain a great rating with on time lodgments with the ATO, we can offer clients extended due dates and keep clients off the ATO radar for audits. Unfortunately there has been a number of clients this year who despite numerous reminders have not provided their information in a timely manner and as a result their returns will be overdue.

We have removed these clients from the ATO Portal so that we can maintain our good rating so that clients who do the right thing are not affected.

Clients that have not responded in timely manners can expect higher tax return fees than clients who have acted promptly to cover the additional administrative costs in phone calls, sms and other communications trying to follow them up.

Engagement Options

The 2021 engagement options have been sent to clients with Sole Trader, Partnership, Company, Trust and SMSF’s. These are sent yearly outlining the services and the quoting for those services.

We are required to do this pursuant to our CPA Public Practice Certificate. We do offer a 10% discount on some services if prepaid. This is not compulsory and where not prepaid, services will be invoiced at the time the service is provided.

The options allow us to budget for staffing needs to ensure we have sufficient capacity to provide the services required by clients.

If you have not signed yours yet, please check your emails and read and sign. If you have any queries then please give us a call to discuss your situation and queries. If you no longer wish to engage us or the services listed needs to change then please let us know so we can remove the document or update it with correct services and avoid unnecessary reminders.
